Contact Enhanced Compatibility

Contact Enhanced is still compatible with Joomla 1.6 and 1.7, however future versions will only be compatible with Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.x+ because we are removing deprecated functions and adding MS SQL compatibility.

If you want Contact Enhanced for Joomla 1.6 OR 1.7 and have a valid license, please go to Support -> Contact form  and ask for Contact Enhanced 2.5.9 which is the last version fully compatible with Joomla 1.6 and 1.7.

Description

Inadequate protection leads to open mail relay vulnerabilities that allows attackers to send emails to either registered Joomla! users, or to any number of other email addresses by cracking the encoded recipients;

Affected Installs

Contact Enhanced versions 3.0, 2.5.8.1, 1.5.11.4 and all earlier 3.x 2.5.x and 1.5.x versions.

Solution

Upgrade to the latest version. See upgrade procedure on the left.

If you have a valid account you can download a zip file containing all 3 packages (for Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0); Just go to My Account -> My Downloads and download it ;-)

Contact Enhanced For Joomla! 3.0 Released

Contact Enhanced for Joomla! 3.0 was just released. I've decided to rewrite the back-end in order to be 100% compatible with Joomla! 3.0 new layout features, so now when you download the package you will get a zip file containing all 3 packages (for Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0);

In order to download, just go to My Account -> My Downloads and download it ;-)

There were some changes in the language files and some languages still needs to be updated. We use Transifex.net for the Translations, so if you want to have Contact Enhanced into your language, please request to be part of a language translation team;

A new version for Joomla! 2.5 was also just released. CE 2.5.8.1. See changelog:

• + MailChimp Integration: Added option to hide groupings;
• + Added new option In multiple files Custom Field in order to display how many remaining files the user can attached;
• + Language files updated;
• # Fixed incompatibility with Joomla 1.6 and 1.7: "Save & New";
