Using Firebug

If you'd like to change the appearance of the output of your site, execute javascript functions, see javascript errors,.., you can use a plug-in called Firebug for the Firefox Browser. Firebug offers an easy way to access your template's style sheets and javascript. Check out their site at getfirebug.com, there is a tutorial on their website for each feature. and watch the video tutorial below on how to use the Firebug plug in for your Joomla! site.

Add Tooltip Styling to your Joomla 1.7+ template

A tooltips is a piece of text that pops up when you hover the mouse over a region on a website. If you use the Joomla! back end, for example, tooltips are used to help explain the action of different parameters (Options), as shown in the screenshot below:
