Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Duplicate field in Email Notification

Hi,

I have a select List (Treatment - ce_1) that will display conditional select Lists ( Treatment Time ce_4 ) based on what is chosen. Image ce_2 is the code behind the Treatment for the conditional Treatment Time. The screen displays perfectly and I can change treatments and the correct available times always show but the email confirmation includes an extra field (ce_3). All Treatment Times are hidden and this has been happening for a while now prior to the latest version. I am sure I am doing something silly.

Also I have now installed Contact Enhanced Pro ( 3.7.2 ) but I still have Contact Enhanced ( Site Package 3.6.4.2 ). Should I uninstall this old version - not sure what effect this will have.

Dear Linda,

1. I'm not sure what's causing this problem, but based on your code and form fields, if I had to guess I would say it is because you have selected a treatment, filled a chained field then changed the treatment, therefore you both fields are submitted.
If that's the case, a way to "fix" this is to change the JQuery code in order to not only hide, but also clear/reset the hidden fields.

2. You should not uninstall the previous version, otherwise you will loose all your Contact Enhanced related information, Form fields, submitted forms and contacts.
The Package version should have been updated, however if it did not update it is NOT an issue because the package is merely a container for the component, module and plugins. If those were upgraded correctly then there's nothing to fear. ;-)
