Issues after update

I have just updated contact enhanced through the Joomla update system and I am having the following:

1. On the form on the front-end the forms have two unknown fields username and confirm username
2. When you fill in the form it does not redirect it show a blank empty page
3. The form is not sending emails
4. The system is not showing recorded form messages on the back-end

I would appreciate all the help I can get to solve this issues.

That's odd.
Which Joomla version are you using?
Can you set error reporting to maximum and let us know the error code?
Can you please provide a direct link to the error page?

1. The fields are part of the Honeypot feature to avoid spam and it should be hidden via Javascript after page load, however there's a javascript error on your site which is interfering with the script which hides the Honeypot and causing this issue.

It seems to be a MooTools javascript code to disable the option to Copy from your site, however it seems MooTools is not loaded. MooTools used to be the default Javascript Library in Joomla 1.5 and 2.5, which changed to jQuery in Joomla 3.0.

Fixing this error will also make those two fields disappear.

You can also disable the Honeypot feature in Contact Enhanced Options under the Contact Form tab.


2 and 3: I might have found the cause for this problem. Which I'm investigating a little bit further and I'll create a new package in a few minutes.

4. I would Administrator Access in order to take a closer look at this issue.

Did you see our previous reply?
There's a javascript error on your site which is not related by Contact Enhanced, however it is causing Username fields to be displayed. You can hide the fields by disabling the Honeypot feature in the Component Options under the Contact Form tab.

On Friday I sent you a file to that will fix issues 2 and 3 caused by Akismet plugin. Did you receive it?

I have disabled the honeypot and the problem still persists

2 and 3: I might have found the cause for this problem. Which I'm investigating a little bit further and I'll create a new package in a few minutes.
Have you managed to solve this issue. I remember in the older versions you could tell the form what to do on submit. like remain on page or redirect to a thank you page.
on issue 4 I think the system is not completing the submit function.
Please help me solve this issue.

I'll resend the file along with another one to hide the username fields when Honeypot is disabled. Both files will be included in the next Contact Enhanced Release as well.

Anyway, the Javascript issue should be fixed in order to avoid other problems.

Getting the same issue with username display on the same, latest version of Joomla (3.8.6), any options for resolving this?

Is there any Javascript error in the Browser's console? A javascript error on your page could be the reason for it

1. Can you provide a direct link to the form, so I can take a look?
2 ,3 & 4: Can you try to disable iAkismet plugin?

There were, but I have now removed the issues causing that, however the problem still exists.

I have already disabled the honeypot feature...

@Trevor, I'm not sure how Contact Enhanced is added to the page, but some of the javascript is missing. I'll send you a workaround in a few minutes, so you don't have to wait for the next version.

@Jezjames1, I've started a new thread from your last post, because it is a different problem now.
