Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

Update Issue... Username Field... Form Module... Honeypot?

6 years 4 hours ago #24052 by seoirserob
Hi after update I have a similar problem to the one outlined here:
idealextensions.com/forum/11-c...issues-after-update.html#24001

However, the (Hoenypot?) username fields are only showing on first load of the form module in a custom position, in a tab on a virtumart product detils page.

When I refresh the page the fields are gone, but return on first load each time.

Scroll down and check the "enquiries" tab on this Page:
cellixltd.com/products/microfluidic-pumps/exigo/exigo-manifold

Can I just hide these fields with CSS?

Dear seoirserob,

That issue should only happen when there's a javascript error on the page, however there's no JS error on your page.
Also, I could not reproduce the issue on your site.

Anyway, the problem reported in the link above was fixed and it will be included in the next release. So you'll be able to completely disable the honeypot using the setting in the back-end. For now you can add the Following CSS rule to a CSS Form Field in order to hide of the Honeypot field:
[class*="cf-id"].noamp.ce-cf-container{display:none}

Best regards,

Thanks for the swift reply, appreciated. I've only just seen it so I must have email notifications turned off!

FYI: In working on some other sites for GDPR I noticed that when cookies are blocked those fields appear, and when accepted they disappear.

Thanks again though
