Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

How To Edit An Email Template Subject Line

Hi Douglas,

When the user submits the form they receive a thank you autoresponder type email with details of their order. This has a custom subject line which we already have working.

Additionally internally we also receive an inbound email relating to the customers order with their details. We also want to create a custom subject line for this email. However there only appears to be an option to edit the subject line for the email generated for the customer.

The Subject Form Field does exactly what you want. You just need to add a predefined value. Did you see the screenshot in my previous reply?

PS: You can hide the field in the General Parameters tab, but it has to be published.

sure did. So in your previous email you suggested creating the custom field value on the field details tab which is what the user received. However internally we would like a different message. So I'm a little confused.

thank you, looks to be working fine now. We did have this configuration set initially but the output was different.
