Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Hi,

When editing a contact in the front end, I get this error message (and the page layout breaks):

Cannot use object of type ContactenhancedViewEdit as array

When working in the back end, everything is working fine.

Is this a known issue?


Also I see that in some cases the Google Maps pin is not in the correct position on the map, but this may be due to user failure (didn't have time yet to check this).

Which Contact Enhanced and Joomla versions are you using?

Please make sure to use the latest CE version.

Hi,

I am running Joomla 3.9.3 and CE 3.9.2. Indeed I see now that my subscription had expired, yet I was able to update CE quite recently, so I didn't notice. I'll renew it tomorrow.

I just renewed my subscription. Hope you can take a look at this issue now. Also, I checked the version that I have installed and indeed I already had the version that was released in January 2019.

I've never had this error before. Can you please provide the file and line number of the error? If you don't see it, please enable the System debug temporarily in Joomla Global Configuration.

Hi Douglas,

Enabling the error reporting was quite informative. The issue is taking place in a file that is part of the T3 template framework:

plugins/system/t3/base-bs3/html/layouts/joomla/edit/params.php

The error is in line 13, I've attached the file as a zip file. Please note that I first renamed it to params.txt and then zipped it; otherwise it was rejected by your forum.

Apparently you and T3 are using the same name "form" for different types of variables or objects. Hope that there's a way out of this situation.

Hi Douglas,

Before contacting T3 I created a backup of the site on a develop location and I switched to the Protostar template. Then tried editing the same CE item. This worked without any issues. So it seems to me that T3 holds the key to solving this problem.

I'm going to contact T3 now,
