Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Hi, as you can see from the attached images, if I activate Captcha - SecurImage in my contact form, the page loses all the formatting and css.

Can you please enable System Debug in Joomla Global Configuration and set Error Reporting to Maximum and let me know if you see an error description, file and line number?

That's because you are using a very outdated Joomla version.
You can either upgrade to Joomla 3.10 or install SecurImage for your Joomla version.
The downloaded zip file already includes a SecurImage package for Joomla 3.3 to 3.7, but I'll send it to your email as well in a couple of minutes.

I still have a small problem. The captcha field is mandatory but, although there is an asterisk, the word (facoltativo=optional) appears.

Dear Antonio,

The captcha plugin only displays the captcha. The Label is added by the component, in this case by com_contact.

I have not tested, but I believe that in com_contat you will need to edit the file /components/com_contact/models/forms/contact.xml and add
required="true"
right after
type="captcha"
