Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

street - "show to users logged in" is mistaken

2 years 7 months ago #25881 by retoturnverein
I set the field "street" to "show to users logged in" but it is mistaken.
It get's displayed if I'm NOT logged in and it is HIDDEN if I'm logged in.
It's the same if I set the filed to either "display" or "hide" or "show to users logged in".

Dear retoturnverein,

That's odd.

Are you using the latest version?
Does this only happen to the street field or to all fields?

Best regards,

Hi Douglas,
I'm using version 3.9.13 and it's only about the "street" field.

Best regards,
Reto

Dear Reto,

I'm checking the source code and the same script that hides or shows the street for registered users is the same for all other address parts (city, state, country, and postal code), therefore if it works for one it should work for all of them. I'm not sure what's happening...

I'll create a new version next week. Can you wait until then to make sure we have the same code?

Best regards,

Hi Douglas,
I tried something. If I disable the field "mail" it vanishes, either if logged in or not. For the field "street", all three display options behave the same, either if logged in or not.
Sure I can wait, thank you.
Best regards,
Reto

I apologize for busting into this discussion BUT I cannot wait for a week. This problem affects the protection of contacts on our website ( usncva.org/ ) from identity theft and spam.
By the way, where do I find the "mail" field? I need to disable it now.
Sincerely,
Donald H White

Dear Don,

I could not reproduce locally this issue reported, but I've created a new package and I'm testing it right now.
I'll send it to you two for testing before I release this new version.
