Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

Contact form fields - won't go full content-width

1 year 5 months ago #26601 by rwestpga
Hi everyone - I have 2 sites (a demo site, and a site for a customer) with the same template and almost the same version of contact enhanced (demo has component 3.9.14 and package 3.6.4.2, while customer has component 3.9.14 and package 3.6.4 - lacking the final .2 for some reason).

On the demo site, the form fields for a contact go to the full content width, but for the customer site they do not...as the 2 attachments show.

I went through all the settings side by side, and can't find what is different. I need help to try and get the customer site form fields to go full content width as well - looks more updated/modern.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Also, can you please provide access yo your customer's site contact page URL, so we can take a closer look?

Hi Douglas - I just renewed the PRO version and payment went through on my end.

Demo url: www.rwmdemo.com/club/contact
Customer url: www.overlookgolfcourse.com/contact/directions

I use on a bunch of customer websites, and all of them are like the Customer URL for some reason. Only the demo site displays the way i want.

Thank you for renewing your subscription.

In order to add compatibility with Rocket Theme templates, we add the uk-grid CSS to the Form Field Container.

The Live site is loading this CSS file /media/widgetkit/wk-styles-a2153d90.css which is loading a CSS rule that's interfering with the form layout.

There are a few ways to fix this:
1- Apply the exact same template style you have on your demo site to your live site. This will most likely remove the CSS file mentioned above. I'm not very familiar with your template framework, so I don't know exactly what you need to do.
2- Edit each Form Field and under the General Parameters tab set Width type to Custom class and add gantry-width-100 to the Custom class;
3- Create a CSS Form Field or edit an existing one and add the following CSS rule:
.ce-form .uk-grid, .ce-form .uk-grid>*{display:block;float:none}

Let me know if you have any further questions.
