Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Hi,

I am using CE Pro version 4.2.2 on the latest Joomla 4 (4.2.5) and I am running into a problem I have not seen before. This is a clean install with only the first fields set for a particular category and that works fine. I am now creating a new form with new fields under a new category. When I try to do this either by creating a new Name field or duplicating the existing one, I get this response: "Save failed with the following error: Only one 'Name' Field type is allowed per category". I read your previous forum ticket on this subject, but I am aware of the two issues that could cause this problem and they do not seem to apply. It is acting like it does not see the change I make in the Category. I checked any trashed or unpublished and nothing is there. I suspect I am missing something, but nothing seems to be standing out.

I am attaching screenshots:

1= setting up to create the new Name field under Partner Program Category
2 = Clicking the submit and failing
3 = snapshot of the existing fields
4 = snapshot of existing categories
5 = snapshot of the original working Name Field under the "Information" category

To add a little more information, This is running on mysql 5.7.40 and PHP 8.0.25 on an Apache VPS server.
