Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

How do I make more than one contact for my site?

11 years 5 months ago #13030 by j.halsan
I am happy with the contact page I have already made. I have tried to make other contact pages for the board members on our site, but have not been able to get it to work.

Here is what I have done so far:
Made a new module: AjaxContact and saved as President. Then used the {loadposition president} to include it in the article I prepared. When I view that article, the Contact form does not show up.

This is the same process I used to do our main contact form, but for some reason it does not work for this one. I am trying to link to it from an article rather than using a menu to link. Am I wrong in assuming that I can have more than one Contact module per site? Must I link to the contact form through a menu item?

I need actually to have a contact page for ten individuals. Thanks in advance for your input.

The page where it should be showing up is here: www.awccs.org/index.php/board-...-contacts/354-presidentcontact
The one that works for our site is here:http://www.awccs.org/index.php/contact

Thanks in advance, I seem to just think I have this sorted when something new crops up. Since I plan to use it on six different sites, I really need to know how this module works.

Dear j.halsan,

You can have as many instances of the module as you'd like. There is no restrictions.

This module works like just any other Joomla module. If you want to display in an article using the {loadposition} plugin you will need to assign the module to a position and in plugin syntax use this same position.

In your case it seems to me that you have added the Module title to he loadposition plugin syntax. You need to use the position, NOT the name.

Best regards,

Thanks very much. It turns out that my joomla site wasn't working properly, so I uploaded a new upgrade and the modules appeared as they were supposed to. So no more mystery about why they were not working.
again, Thanks very much.
