Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Problem with email field

11 years 4 months ago #13188 by iorbita
Hello again,
I have a problem with the e-mail field, the <script> tag appears in the field ... the message is sent correctly and for information the module Ajax Contact is placed in an article with Module Anywhere.
I have the same configuration in the site which I use to test all my extension and I don't have this problem ...
Can you help me please? Thank you for you support. ;)

Dear Iorbita,

This should be simple to be fixed.
Please change the ordering of the plugins, so that the Cloak plugin is before the Modules Anywhere plugin;

Dear iorbita,

Go to Extensions -> Plugin Manager, filter by content and order by "Ordering" then use the up and Down arrows to reorder the plugins;

You can read more information here:

Dear iorbita,

That's odd... Is it possible that you have another plugin that is cloaking the emails?

Did you clear the browser cache as well?

Best regards,

...yes, my cache is cleared. What to do now? ...disable one module at a time?
It's strange because I have the same setup in my subdomain and I did not have this problem...

Dear iorbita,

If you do not add any mailto links to your content items, you can disable the Email Cloak plugin.

Dear Iorbita,

I forgot a detail:

Go to Extensions -> Module Manager, Select Ajax Contact module and then disable the "Auto populate user info" option under the Basic Options slider.
