Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

modal window

Hi support.
I'm trying to install an Ajax contact module in a modal window from popanymodule, but it is not working.
No email is sent, no thank you message and the original message won't reset.
Do you think this is because it just won't work in a modal window, or have I got the settings entirely wrong?
I'm using J2.5.14. The Ajax package is 3.0.3, although the module says it is 3.0.2.
The url is www.pro-practice.tv , and the link to the modal window is towards the bottom of the main panel and reads: 'free demonstration disk and our complimentary marketing pack' and is in blue.
I would be most grateful if you could let me know your thoughts on this.
Many thanks
Ian

Dear Ian,

The module you are loading in the modal window is NOT Ajax Contact. At least it is not my product.

Best regards,

Hi douglas - many thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I am really stupid - I'm working on the page and have changed it since posting my original query. I have taken that contact form out of the modal window, and loaded it into a page instead.
However, there is a similar link in the dental finance panel on the right, which is still in the window.
I have attached screen shots of the two module manager windows. Is this not your product?
I am confused.
Thanks again for the quick reply,
Best wishes
Ian

Dear Ian,

Both screenshots you've attached are for Ajax Contact.

The module that loads on another page is Ajax Contact, however the module that is loading n the modal window isn't. I have inspected the code and it seems to be called Fox Form or something like that.

Hi Douglas - thanks again for getting back to me.
Goodness knows what I've done here.
I've been trying so many different things I've got myself confused. I tried Fox but it is not Ajax based and will never work in a modal window, which is why I bought Ajax Contact.
To go back to my original question, will Ajax contact work in popanymodule modal windows if I get the configuration right, or should I give up trying?
I do appreciate your support.
Thanks
Ian

Dear Ian,

I was just checking the demo page of popanymodule and it SEEMS Ajax Contact should work with this module without any problem (with any Ajax Contact Configuration). However popanymodule seems to have a feature to remove javascript from the module it will load in a modal window, so please configure in a way that it will not remove Ajax Contact script.

Let us know if it works.

Success!
www.pro-practice.tv
The link is at the bottom of the Dental Finance panel.
I just have to play around with the css a little now.
I don't know how I got myself into such a mess, but sometimes it helps just to get another view on it all.
Thanks again for your support,
Ian
