Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

The module is great so far, I just installed it and haven't fully tested it yet, but I did notice that the messages on the form are displaying in this format: "MOD_AJAXCONTACT_EMAIL_SENT" (sent message confirmation), "ICAPTCHA_VERIFICATION_CODE: " (text under captcha image). The same thing occurs with the emails that I receive: " MOD_AJAXCONTACT_UI_IP_ADDRESS" etc. In the module (in module manager), I have "all" selected and I have en.gb files in my Joomla language folder.

I'm using Joomla 1.7 and I tried this in different browsers and OS's.

Dear Robotboy,

I've fixed the package in order to load the language files. You can downoad the package from the website again and install it on top of the old one.

PS: I haven't changed the package name in order to make it faster.

Hi,
I have translation problems also.
I translated all to dutch.
But it dont seems to load.
I have it on www.scheidingspraktijkheterfgoed.nl

The text: Security Question I cant get it translated

Further after sending a message the Thanks for sending text MOD_AJAXCONTACT_EMAIL_SENT dont load my translation.
And in the confirmation emails
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_COPY_OF
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_COPY_TEXT
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_LAST_PAGE_VIEWED
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_UI_SCREEN_RESOLUTION

Dear Alex,

Did you set the Character Encoding to UTF-8?

The Captcha plugin has it's own language file:
[Path to Joomla 1.7 or newer]/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_system_icaptcha.ini

o, i see what you mean... yes it is UTF8.

It translates some things, like:

MOD_AJAXCONTACT_INVALID_FIELDS="Er zijn fouten, de velden met rood zijn verplicht"
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_LIMIT_OF_CHARACTERS_REACHED="Je hebt het maximaal toegestane aantal karakters bereikt"
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_MESSAGE_FIELD_LABEL="Opmerkingen"
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_CUSTOM_MESSAGE=""
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_CHARACTERS_LEFT="karakters over"
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_EMAIL_A_COPY="Stuur mij een kopie"
MOD_AJAXCONTACT_SEND_EMAIL="Verstuur email"

But all text in the mail not

Dear Alex,

I use Eclipse in order to change Character Encoding, but there are many text editor that can change the encoding. If you use window I recommend using Notepad++.

As i said, it works partly.
The: ; FRONT END TRANSLATION STRINGS are all working.

But all: ; ajax.php TRANSLATION STRINGS dont work

Ok, solved...

I translated the language file within the module language folder.

But i should have translated in joomla's language folder

I realize this topic is old - but I'm having the same issues with the language files not loading / not being used.

I've downloaded mod_site_ajaxcontact_3.1__20130807_1425.zip and installed under Joomla 3.1.5.

After publishing the module the send button still shows: MOD_AJAXCONTACT_SEND_EMAIL

Also some description within the backend are cryptic (not being translated).

I've re-installed the package - still no luck.
