Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Create the user in frontend

Hello,

I need to be able to create each user in the front end when logged in as admin. I have created an "Create Contact" menu link that is only visible to admins. When I click on Create Contact I get the admin user info and all it does is overwrite my info. Can a user be added in the front end without creating the Joomla user first? if so How?

Dear localfirst,

Yes, there is this option. If you are using the latest Contact Enhanced FULL version, then you can enable the Contact Enhanced Contact Creator plugin.

Go to Extensions -> Plugin Manager and edit the CE Contact Creator plugin parameters.

Yes, I have it activated, my question is when logged into the front end as superuser can I create other users/contacts? It seems to only let me edit my own info and not create.

Dear localfirst,

Nope, only the user can create a contact in the front-end (if allowed in the Permissions tab).

Administrators can only add new users using the back-end.

Hey Douglas

Am I right that in the latest CE versions, we can indeed create users in the front end?
I am asking as I have tried this and while the site reports "User Saved", I cannot see the user record in the back-end or front-end once created.
Am I misunderstanding the options in the Menu >> CE >> Create User?

I sorry about the delayed reply.

Do you mean Menu >> Contact Enhanced >> Create Contact?

This option is to create a Contact Enhanced -> Contact from the front-end.
