Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Button - Add Contact Enhanced Form PHP Error

9 years 9 months ago #17579 by jopat52
Hi,

I get an error while using the Add-CE-Form button, but only while editing in the frontend.
The modal window opens, but gives me a PHP 500 error half way loading the contact list. It says 'JForm::getInstance could not load file'.
I tracked the error down to administrator/com_contactenhanced/views/contacts/tmpl/modal_plugin_options.php, line 12.

The button works flawlessly in the backend.

My System:
Joomla 3.3.1
PHP 5.3.10
CE 3.3.1__20140522
JCE editor 2.3.4.4
I had the editor-xtd-ce-plugin from 2012, but deinstalled it for now. The error persists with and without the JCE-plugin)

Please help.

Dear jopat52,

Does it work using another WYSIWYG editor?

Best regards,

Dear jopat52,

I could not reproduce the same error locally. I've made some changes and I hope it fixes this issue. I've sent the files to your email address.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

All the best,

Thanks for your help so far.

With the fixed files it works. The modal window shows the contact list without errors. Inserting a contact into the article works also (tested with JCE), but...

my contact list goes over multiple pages. A click on 'next page' or 'page 2' raises a 404 error.

Kind regards,

Dear jopat52,

I'm confused. Is this related to the Button issue?

Can you please provide a direct link, so I can take a look?

Best regards,

Hi,

this may be related to the button issue - I just never got this far to test the functionality of the plugin (in the frontend edit).

For further investigations please create an account on the page - i'll send you the link at your email-address.
Then i'll give you the necessary rights for editing articles.

It's already 9pm in Germany, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow ;)

Kind regards,
