Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

[SOLVED] Plugin not functioning

14 years 2 months ago #1968 by douglas
Dear Alex,

Do you want to show as a menu item or inside a content?

In order to show in a menu item you have to go to select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation. For example, if a Menu is called "Main Menu", select Menus → Main Menu, then Select Contact Enhanced -> Standard Contact Layout;

In order to show in a content item you have to select Article Manager icon in the Control Panel, or click 'Article Manager' in the 'Content' menu in the Back-end of your Joomla! installation; then you have to either edit an existing article (content) or create a new one to display the form and and write anywhere in the content {loadcontact 1}

If you have any other doubt do not hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

Hello,

I am not sure why I should have listed plugin in the menu or in an article. What does the plugin do? Does it not enable some extra features to the Contact Enhanced Component?

KInd regards,
Aleksandar

Dear Aleksandar,

The plugin allows you to display the form inside an article (content);
It is useful when you need to have display content and you also need to display a form that is directed related to the content;
Another user, for example, has a hotel directory website and he uses the plugin to allow his users to contact each hotel right on that page; It is very neat! :-)

Did you get it to work?

Kind regards,
