Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Javascript error when press 'send' on irecommend form

4 years 1 week ago #24262 by clarew
I am using Joomla version 3.88, iRecommend version 3.5.1 and the browser is IE11. Each time I test the recommendation form and press send I get the JavaScript error (screenshot added as an attachment). If I answer ‘yes’ to ‘Do you want to continue running scripts on this page’ the form is submitted correctly but I really need to remove the script error before making this available to our users. Thanks!

Dear clarew,

Do you get the same error using other browsers?

Can you please provide a direct link to the form? I've tried to access, however I got a "Component not found" error.

Best regards,

Hi, it's slightly more complicated. You can see the site at .

The issue is that viewers of the site won't be looking at it directly from the web, we have a browser built into some software we produce. The browserl acts a bit like an intranet with users being able to access user guides etc. The software and our registry fix forces the inbuilt browser to run as IE 11. I've attached a screenshot of the software so you can see the browser window within the software. I've also switched to the Simple thanks with form fields template and now i get a Javascript error with that too before the thank you page displays (attached as 2nd error) although when you click 'Yes' to continue running scripts, the page then displays.
