Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

A last Question: Is there any german translation available? If not, which is the path to the language file?

Best regards to brasil from a today very sunny snow-landscape in switzerland

Dear Chris,

There is no German translation just yet! ;-)
You can translate copy this file:
[Path to Joomla]/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_irecommend.ini
to
[Path to Joomla]/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_irecommend.ini

Assuming that your language is code is de-DE.

Hallo Douglas

I feel like a beginner, but I changed that file and put in the named folder - it stays in english.. In attachement I send you the translated file. Also if I put the same file in en-GB Folder as en-GB.com_irecommend.ini as I actually did, it still stays in english.

Am I a complicate person today or did I miss something essential?

Best regards
Chris

Dear Chris,

It should not stay in English if you translate the English file. Did you clear the Joomla and your browser's Cache?

All the best,

Sorry 'bout my next Question: Where do I find the term "Verfication code" to translate and where I find "E-Mail schreiben" which is showed as text for the Custom field "Email" (I didn't wrote that text)

Thanks for your patience

Dear Chris,

All captcha related language strings are in [Path to Joomla]/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_content_captcha.ini

Custom Fields can be translated using language files, so Contact Enhanced tries to find a language string that is currently active in your Joomla. So this "E-Mail schreiben" might be a language string that corresponds to the Custom Field label.
My suggestion is to change the Custom Field label to E-mail if it is Email or vice-versa.
