Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Probs after replacing mooFAQ with iFAQ

9 years 1 month ago #18821 by susannekoepf
Dear all,

I just migrated a client website from J2.5 to J3.3. And I just updated mooFAQ with iFAQ.
On the productive site, everything seems to be fine:
www.yoga-on.com/praxis/asana-info

But if search one of these pages via google and open the sites, I get several error messages (plaese see attached file)

Notice: Undefined index: view in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/router.php on line 70 Notice: Undefined index: view in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/router.php on line 70 Notice: Undefined index: view in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/router.php on line 70 Notice: Undefined index: option in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/views/article/view.html.php on line 215 Notice: Undefined index: option in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/views/article/view.html.php on line 225 Notice: Undefined index: option in /var/www/vhosts/yoga-on.com/httpdocs/components/com_content/views/article/view.html.php on line 225

Above the content of each page, the author and the pubslished date are shown, although I have deactivated that in general settings.

Do you have any glue?

Regards,
Susanne

Dear Susanne,

After a searching a lot of pages on your website I was able to reproduce this issue. However the problem is not related to iFAQ. See the URLs:
[iFAQ page] www.yoga-on.com/praxis/asana-i...anasana-knie-zum-kinn-position
[Problem page] www.yoga-on.com/praxis/160-asa...anasana-knie-zum-kinn-position

iFAQ uses Joomla core content / articles database and the problem seems to be related to the Joomla core content component, please note the error messages and all of them are related to the com_content extension.

Anyway, there's an easy workaround. On production sites the Joomla Global Configuration -> Error Reporting should be set to None.
Then create a hidden menu item for this Articles -> Category, this way you can also control the Author and Date for this menu item;

If you know .htaccess rewriting you can also create a rule to redirect all www.yoga-on.com/praxis/160-asanas/ ? to www.yoga-on.com/praxis/asana-info/ ?

Dear Douglas,

thanks a lot for your answer. I just followed your explanations and now everything is working fine.

The only thing I wonder or have no glue how to fix that: if I search on Google "apanasana" and click in the SERP`s on the link to yoga-on.com ( www.yoga-on.com/praxis/160-asa...anasana-knie-zum-kinn-position ) everthing is ok. If I click in the breadcrumbs on "Asanas", which is the category for iFAQ I don`t get the iFAQ-site with the drp-downs. Instead the items are shown as "normal" category blog....
I hope you understand, want I mean? Do you have an idea, how to fix that?

Best regards
Susanne

Dear Susanne,

Actually www.yoga-on.com/praxis/160-asanas/ is a link to the Joomla core article category, that's why you are not getting a iFAQ style. That's why I've also suggested to create a .htaccess redirect in my previous post;

I usually do not provide support to .htaccess, however as a courtesy I'll provide a tip for you:
Open the .htaccess file and add the RewriteRule right after RewriteEngine On. If you are using AdminTools Pro, go to .htaccess Maker and enter the rule below in the Custom .htaccess rules at the top of the file field;
RewriteRule  ^praxis/160-asanas(.*)$ http://www.yoga-on.com/praxis/asana-info$1 [R=301,L]

Reload the page and test it again.
