Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

CSS extension vs theme

8 years 11 months ago #19363 by rgreen
Hi Douglas,
Been trying to wrap my head around how the module interacts with the template/theme. The title/ question of the faq is a bit large so I checked out the css and the ifaq.css shows "h3" as 16 px . When looking at the final display font size in firebug or web developer it shows 20 px size, which is the h3 size of my theme/template. so the large size is with my template theme.

So does the css of the theme "trump" the size on the template? Meaning the 20 px called out on theme overrides the ifaq. If so, what exactly do I change to make it smaller? I have no issue changing the css to be H5 to match my theme. I just don't want to change the them H3 to be smaller. I changed the H3 to H5 in ifaq.css in the clean_blue_math folder but that did not help.

any suggestions?

Dear rgreen,

iFAQ tries to inherit most of the CSS styling from your template in order to avoid incompatibility. You can add the CSS rule below to your template's CSS file OR to the iFAQ template CSS file, in your case it is /components/com_ifaq/templates/clean_blue_math/ifaq.css
.ifaq-collapsible h3{font-size:16px}

Best regards,
