Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Joomla 3.3.6 - No "read more" button on your iFAQ

8 years 10 months ago #19777 by dev
Hello there :)
I have just bought your iFAQ component this morning.

I would like to have like on your demo:
joomla.idealextensions.com/ifaq/ifaq-category.html
- Severals categories, all under a main one.
- To display some intro, following with a "read more".

But if you take a look at my page :
www.bugzero.fr/fr/ifaqs.html
Try to expand the last FAQ >> there is no "read more".
And the full article is here :
www.bugzero.fr/fr/ifaqs/11-faq...er-utilises-sur-pc-et-mac.html

Can you help me please ?

Greeting ^^

Dear Dev,

Go to Components -> iFAQ, click on the Options button and make sure the Show "Read More" is enabled under the Articles tab.

Yes it does work now !!
In fact, enable plugin was to "no" .
Thanks :)

So now I have the correct "read more" button :
www.bugzero.fr/fr/ifaqs/11/11-...er-utilises-sur-pc-et-mac.html

3 questions :
- can you confirm me the full faq's article (such " www.bugzero.fr/fr/ifaqs/11/11-...er-utilises-sur-pc-et-mac.html ") is readable by google ?
- can you tell me how to translate "read more" in french ? (like "Lire la suite" ?)
- is this possible to have the title of the full article in h1 (for me, it will be "Raccourcis clavier utilisés sur PC et Mac")

Thanks again :)

Have a great day !

Dear J,

1. Yes, the full article is 'visible' by Search Engines such as Google;
2. From your other post, I see you already have translated the component. Did it work for you?
3. Even though it is possible, it would take too much work. It would require a lot of changes to PHP, CSS and Javascript files.

Best regards,

Hi Douglas.
Yes, the translation file I made seems to be fine.
I send it to you in my other post :)

For the H1, it's too bad.
But I'm gonna try a trick ^^ I will put a H1 title on the article's content.
Like this I will have my only 1 h1 title by article :)

Thx again !!
