Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

syntax for multi category listing

1 year 9 months ago #26238 by uugry
Hello Douglas,
I tried to use iFAQ Pro for builing an accordion over several categories.

{ifaq view=|categories| id=|53| showtitle=|0| showdesc=|0| template=|clean_fcl_arrow|}

does not list the subcategories, only first level is listed. At least I need to list category id=|53| and id=|59| together, where the latter is a subcategory of the first.

What is the correct syntax for listing multiple categories?
Is it also possible to list different categories, wich are not in a hierarchy?

I use Joomla 4.

Best regards
Heinz

Dear Heinz,

The Categories View (via menu item or via plugin) will only display the First Level of subcategories and their content articles as FAQ items.

You can display multiple categories of FAQs using two or more {ifaq} syntaxes in the same article. For example:
{ifaq view=|category| id=|53| }
{ifaq view=|category| id=|54| }
{ifaq view=|category| id=|55| }

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

That's ok for me. I have overlooked that only the first level of categories is displayed.
