Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Linking into tab content

1 year 10 months ago #26241 by uugry
I noticed a minor bug in iFAQ Pro, or better let's say it's a feature request for future release.
A link in any article which addresses an iFAQ content, will open the iFAQ tab and jump to the content only if the tab is closed before clicking the link. If the tab is already open, (e.g. open all tabs) then, by clicking the link, the tab will be closed and the link will be not followed. Only by clicking the link a second time, the tab will be opened again and the link will be followd.

Better behaviour would be, that in the case, the tab is already open, the link will be followed directly.

With auto scrolling enabled it can lead to confusing user experience:
if the link is located inside a tab of a large accordion (larger than windows size) and points to another tab of the same accordion (linking between content of different tabs) and the target tab is already open, then the tab is closed and the link not followed, but because of auto scrolling the accordion may be adjusted. This means for user experience that content comes into focus, which has nothing to do with this.

I assume the open/close switch for the tab is implemented as a toggle switch. So, to change the behaviour will have deeper impact to your design. May be, you can implement this in a future release.
