Problems with MooFaq and MenuMatic

Dear Hans,

MooFAQ uses MooTools for the accordion and other effects;

MooTools is the Joomla default javascript library, therefore most templates use MooTools for their fancy things such as menus and slideshows; Your template or other extensions (modules, plugins, components) shouldn't use another javascript library other than MooTools, however if it does use another library such as JQuery it might be incompatible with many MooTools based scripts;

Solution:
Most of the times if you call the JQuery no.Conflict() function it will work; If you don't know how to do you can contact the Menu developer to add it (because the menu script is using another library, it should include this function by default); If the developer neglects to help, please contact me again;
Instructions: api.jquery.com/jQuery.noConflict/

Advice:
Always choose extensions that are 100% compatible with Joomla Framework;

Kind regards,

Hi there,

Bought MooFaq, works very nice. Tried adding a menu with the jQuery lib. MooFaq is throwing some errors.

So now I thought I use MenuMatic. But unfortunately I have errors again. I think it has something to do with the different MooTools versions. Any idea how to solve this?

Regards,
Hans
