I too have been working with this exact same issue and came across this thread. I have superfishmenu as well and use it on a few of my sites because that's what I'm more familiar with. Well, appearently I can't use this and MooFAQ at the same time, so I looked into another menu just to see what's out there. In a matter of 30 minutes, I have found one, installed it, configured it, and even edited the CSS to match the superfishmenu. The best part is, it works with MooFAQ!

Here's the link for the menu if you're interested: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structu...rop-a-tab-menus/9135

Hope this helps.

Yes, you're right.
I will try to find another drop-down menu module for Joomla.

Thanks for the tips.

Dear Alexandre,

It might be too hard ant time consuming to make those two scripts to work together. I think those two libraries are not incompatible, the problem might be with the module script itself.

You can tell the module developer that there is a conflict with MooTools Accordion effect. He might be able to help you!

Also, I don't think it is a good idea to have two different javascript libraries. JQuery alone loads more 54kb of code, which decreases a bit your websites overall performance.

That's it!
Grrrrr! I hate IE!

Is there an easy way to make it work using both libraries?

Thanks.

Alexandre

Dear Alexandre,

For the last hour I've been trying to figure out why this is happening and it seems that there is an incompatibility with your mod_superfishmenu module, which uses JQuery another Javascript Library.
MooFAQ uses MooTools, the default Javascript Library in Joomla 1.5 in order to avoid any incompatibility.

Can you please disable this module for a moment just to make sure it is an incompatibility?
