Code:
<p>This is a two phased process using two tools. The first tool is a migration Component named com_migrator. This Component has been contributed by Harald Baer and is based on his eBackup Component. The migrator needs to be installed on the old site and when activated it prepares the required export dump of the old site's data. The second tool is built into the Joomla! 1.5 installation process. The exported content dump is loaded to the new site and all conversions and modification are performed on-the-fly.</p> <p><br /> </p> <hr id="system-readmore" /> <p> </p> <p>Step 1 - Using com_migrator to export data from old site:<br />Install the com_migrator Component on the old site. It can be found at the JoomlaCode developers forge.<br />Select the Component in the Component Menu of the Control Panel.<br />Click on the Dump it icon. Three exported gzipped export scripts will be created. The first is a complete backup of the old site. The second is the migration content

That is what I am using, but the "Read more" button still does not show up.. Am I missing something?

Makes sense.

Is there code or some kind of indication you need to insert into a articile for this? can you provide a quick example?

Dear John,

It works just like the Joomla article's read more. In your content form you have a "Read More" button. This button inserts a 'Read more...' break in the Article. This shows as a red dotted line across the Article. If an Article has a 'Read more...' break, only the text before the break, called the Into Text, will initially display, along with a 'Read more...' link. If the User clicks this link the entire Article is displayed. The 'Read more...' break allows you to save space on pages by just showing the Intro Text.

If you have any other question, don't hesitate to ask.
