Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Manual Mode - frontend ?

Hello, just found and tested your very versatile product "Ideal Related Articles". Definitely an area where Joomla-Core lacks a lot of build-in features ;)
I really like the auto and mixed modes, introtext and image support! I have a strong interest in the "manual" mode. Unfortunately, it seems to be a backend-only feature – it is found in your IRarticles manager and on the article edit screen.

Question(s):
Is there any chance to have the manual selection on frontend submissions!? I have heared from other extension developers, that Joomla does not provide the technical basis for frontend integrations. What is your experience and opinion?

Dear pepperstreet,

It is correct, Joomla content plugin system doesn't provide the technical basis for this integration in neither Back-end nor Front-end, that's why iRelated extension uses a System plugin to do that.

I haven't had any request so far for the manual selection in the front-end. I can implement it for you as a custom job. If you are interested please reply to the this forum post notification email and I'll quote it for you.

Just came across your youtube videos about iRelated Articles. You may have noticed my likes and a comment...
Anyways, I just wanted to ask for the manual relation and frontend edit support? Are there any changes or news?

I'm sorry about the delayed reply.

There's still no support for the front-end edit feature. We're currently with a lot of work on our hands and other projects we must finish before July. I don't think we'll be able to implement this feature for you before then.
