Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Well, here's a solution - I used the Editor field, with the label parameter set to not display.

But there is a hitch: 1)with the class applied to Render Options the icon does not appear inline

Display is OK 2) with the class applied in the editor itself as inline code [/size] (but is this client proof?):

Dear blue_Shift,

Contact Enhanced's Contact Fields feature is integrate with Joomla's core com_fields, including the layout of the fields is inherited from Joomla. That being said, we can only change the layout by either creating a custom field or an HTML override.

I've created an override for you for the URL field, so it will create load the field label instead of the URL as the link text.

Please unzip the file attached and upload to the location below (replace YOUR_TEMPLATE with your template folder):
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/layouts/com_contactenhanced/field/

Then go to Components -> Contact Enhanced -> Contacts -> Contact Fields, edit the URL field and under the Options tab set the Layout to the new field you've just uploaded.


As for the field's alignment, I would probably need to either create an HTML template override for CE for you or change the component layout. I'm not yet sure what I should do. I'll get back to you tomorrow on that.

correct path - as you stated, but with one more subfolder, url

/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/layouts/com_contactenhanced/field/url
