Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Hi,

I would like to override the string "Enter captcha security code" when the website is loaded in German. How can I override the string?

Dear Dirk,

There are at least a couple of ways you can do this.

1. You can go to Extensions > Languages > Overrides and create overrides for these strings:
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_VALIDATION_CODE_LABEL="Enter captcha security code"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_VALIDATION_CODE_WRONG="Wrong captcha security code"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_VALIDATION_CODE_CORRECT="Captcha code entered is valid"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_VALIDATION_CODE_CHECKING="Checking code..."
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_IMAGE_ALT_TEXT="Captcha Image"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_RELOAD_IMAGE="Reload captcha image challenge"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_RELOAD_IMAGE_TITLE="Click on the image to load a new captcha challenge"
PLG_CAPTCHA_SECURIMAGE_CLICK_HERE="Click here"

2. I recommend translating the file using Transifex , this way your translation will be included in future versions of the plugin. However, as far as I can see the SecurImage translation file is already translated partially into German. So you can simply upload the file attached to:
/plugins/captcha/securimage/language/de-DE/de-DE.plg_captcha_securimage.ini

Well yes Transifex is great tool for translation. Transifex Live makes it easy to translate your web app or website. It works through a snippet of JavaScript you add to your site, similar to Optimizely or Google Analytics. With Transifex Live, you're able to: Save content for translation directly from your website to Transifex without using files.
