Hi There,

Working on j1.7.1

Just installed pkg_moofaq_1.7__20110829_1502, didn't install correctly, tried installing each separately: com_moofaq_1.7__20110829_1502... but got the success with error building admin menus.

No admin menu items are available...

Any possible way to fix this issue? I'm hoping to launch the site soon...

Thanks!

Oh yeah:

Dear Abstractmachines,

The Admin menus and the category view should have been fixed in the latest version for Joomla 1.6.

The problem was that you had set the MooFAQ menu item to be your default one, when that happens MooFAQ will become your home page, no matter what's the first menu item.

Menu Creation for MooFAQ is the same procedure as the Menu creation for any other component:
Select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation. For example, if a Menu is called "Main Menu", select Menus → Main Menu, then click on the "New" button and choose MooFAQ menu item.

You will most likely use either MooFAQ -> Categories OR MooFAQ -> Category menu item type;

A more details explanation on how to create menu items is found here:
MooFAQ -> Categories

Problem was created by menu item creation with Moo FAQ. I'm having some issues figuring out how to create menu items properly :)

Douglas - all pages of my site work,

unless they are associated with Moo FAQ in any way.

Any pages that Moo FAQ has touched, die, when Moo FAQ is uninstalled.

also do have to say, that Moo FAQ component is great, it's easily customizable, looks beautiful, etc.

Douglas your support is excellent. :)

It is weird, isn't it? I'm sure it's something I did wrong.

Yes, I backed up before uninstalling.

main menu item: "home" works great and looks like root of site

site/home = awesome

site/index.php = Moo FAQ takeover or dead

I will poke around for a few more minutes, then send you a login.

Thanks so much!!!
Amanda
