Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Select which contacts custom fields should display on?

Hello.

When you create custom fields you can choose which category the fields should display in. Sometimes I create custom fields I want to display in more than one category, but not all. And many times I need to use different custom fields for different contacts in the same category.

Is it possible to chose which categories and which contacts in each category I want to display each custom field on?

Dear cspace,

There is no such option right now.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to create this feature, but when I create it will probably be available for Joomla 1.7+ only, because it uses the latest MooTools version and it will require some javascript.

Which version are you using?

Best regards,

We're using Joomla 1,5 and CE version 1.5.10.1

Can you please make it work on 1,5?

Dear Cspace,

It will still take a while until I start working on this, because I have some other priorities right now, but if it is not too hard to implement using MooTools 1.12 I'll make it work with Joomla 1.5 as well.

All the best,
