What does that mean? I received that message when installing a newly downloaded version of CE. As an apparent MySQL error, it breaks the site. (It is a development site, not a live one.)

Joomla 4.2.6 (new migration)
PHP 8.1.3
CE 4.3.5 Plus (J4 version)

Can you please enable System debug in Joomla's Global Configuration, the reload the page and paste here de call stack?

When I uninstalled, then tried to reinstall I get

Duplicate entry '1' for key 'PRIMARY'

Should I clear the database tables entirely?

I usually don't recommend uninstalling the extension in order to try to solve a problem because you'll lose all configuration, contacts, form fields,... However, since you already have uninstalled, you can remove all database tables staring with #__ce.

Also, make sure to enable System debug and always provide the call stack in order to help the debug process

As soon as i turned debug, something called redis simply shut everything down.

After changing the session handler in configuration php I reinstalled (and with all ce tables removed) a reinstallation was smooth. n errors.

There are only three contacts, and all the messages for the last ten years have been delivered to their business mailboxes - plus I have an archive of the previous site so no mail was lost. Having removed 32 other components entirely, which will be replaced with something new in half of those instances, this is a minor blip on the radar screen of life.
