Form Fields Errors

I had big problems attempting to add form fields to a newly created category but CE Pro returned an error stating that the "metakey" had not been defined. I searched the forum and found the same issue previously reported by another subscriber and the solution was to drop the SQL keys 'metakey' and 'metadesc' (or something like that) from the #ce_formfields table. I did that and now I get this error when attempting to enter or check on any form field:

Unknown column 'a.language' in 'field list' Unknown column 'a.language' in 'on clause'.

Now I have to reinstall the last Akeeba Backup I made in order to make the forms I previously created work for our users; losing a lot of work I did today.

Oh, and the update to version 4.3.11 doesn't work, either.

However, I continue to receive this error when attempting to add a form field: "Save failed with the following error: Field 'metakey' doesn't have a default value".

I'm investigating this issue and the metakey and metadesc should have been removed automatically when you upgraded to Joomla 4. I'm adding this to the next update again to make sure they are removed from your site.

I'll send you an updated version which will drop these columns.

As for the "Unknown column 'a.language' in 'on clause'" error, your #__ce_formfields database table does have the language column. I would need Joomla's System Debug enable to see the PHP Call stack in order to make sure it's related to this table.

PS: I usually recommend creating a full back as well as a table backup when you change a database table directly, this way makes it easier for you when you need to restore the changes you just made. You just have to restore that database table backup. In PHPMyAdmin, all you need to do to is copy the table with a prefix and add a backup_ prefix (for example).

Thanks, Douglas. I think you're telling me to use PHPMyAdmin and drop 'metakey' and 'metadesc' from #ce_formfields. I will do that after I've downloaded the SQL table for easy restoration.
I'm planning this because I have a rather urgent need to create a new form for our members to use.
