Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

I see forum threads on AcyMailing extensions.

I'd like to have a button on a newsletter that takes them to a page where they can submit a new person/email.

It should:
1. create a form asking for name and email.
2. create an AcyMailing account filling in one or more custom fields
2. add the person to an AcyMailing list
3. potentially unsubscribe the original person (provided in the email newsletter redirect like forward-to-a-friend does from AcyMailing)
4. send an email to "support" telling that the person has been unsubscribed and the new person added (so we can verify that it's ok)

Contact Enhanced integration with AcyMailing will (1,3) subscribe an user to AcyMailing and send the contact form to the designated recipient (support in your case) at the same time. It will also submit all AcyMailing Custom Fields as long as Form Fields with the same aliases are created in Contact Enhanced.

It has no option to unsubscribe an user.

For this specific feature all you need is the LITE version, however we usually recommend getting the PRO version due to the amount of features and extra extensions you get. With the PRO version you can embed the component in an article or module position if you want. You also get to install other extensions such as the Feedback tab (installed on this side on the right side) and the Ideal Store Locator (iStoreLocator) plugin.

Just to be clear, this is a new email and name not in joomla,cb or acymailing. It's not just that I want it added to the list.

I want an acymailing account (doesn't need to be joomla, or cb).

It wasn't obvious looking at this whether it adds the account if missing then adds them to the list:

When the user submits the form it will subscribe the user to AcyMailing. It's not an account, but a subscription. Is that what you mean?

Perhaps, the querystring to the acymailing user page says subscriber http://mywebsite/administrator/index.php?option=com_acymailing&ctrl=subscriber

Potential subscriber?

The main page in acymailing calls them ACY Users and a user doesn't need to be subscribed to any list. You can import users from a csv or joomla existing users for example.

Contact Enhanced will add the user (if it doesn't exists) and then subscribe to the selected lists. If no list was selected it won't even add the user to AcyMailing.
