Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Joomla 4.1.5, latest Contact enhanced 4.0.3.1 according to Joomla.

When I try to submit a contact form on the front end, on the first press of the submit button, it turns red, but does nothing else. On the second press of the submit button, it changes to submitting email, but shows this error on the frontend.

Error Table::store() for #__ce_message_fields Incorrect integer value: 'ce-captcha' for column `my_table_name`.`prefix_ce_message_fields`.`field_id` at row 1

Well, this is strange!

On a hunch, I re-downloaded contact enhanced and installed it. It took a long time to upload and install and told me it had upgraded from 4.0.3.1 to 4.0.6.3 and now it works ok!

But the weird thing is that Joomla said there was no update available. On three different sites.

I wonder if there's something wrong with the Joomla update system on Joomla 4, or if there's something wrong with Contact-enhanced that doesn't show the update? Any ideas?

I've fixed the issue. Please install the new package I just released in order to correctly save the Update Site.
