Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Mail form is reading email field as a sender?

We are getting relay denied for the address entered in the email field, though the mail sends. From my tech: "The system must be reading the email address that we enter into the form as the from address instead of no-reply@[domain]"

If I try to blank that field in the back end, I can not save the form - there is no save button.

Yet, the form still sends to the contact address in CE.

(I emailed a private support request yesterday but we have not heard back.)

Screenshot.That error is applied to whoever is in the email field. We are using smtp.

Dear blue_Shift,

Contact Enhanced by default uses the email in the Joomla Global Configuration as the sender. Please edit the Component Options and under the Form tab set Email Sender to Use global.

PS: That's odd... The last email I have from you is from Nov. 18.

Email sender was already Global

I renamed the field and noticed that autofill was turned on, so I toggled that off as well. This problem is now solved.

The email was related to the lack of a 'submit' button on the "email support" page. I get an add to cart button instead.

The autofill for the Email field will only use the logged-in user's email and shouldn't cause this problem...
I'm not sure what was happening, but I'm glad it's fixed.
