Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Contact not displaying

Hi there, so on my site i have 506 contacts.

I upgraded from J3 > J4 and i have had a fair few issues.

When i publish or un-publish a contact i get the following error

Table 'northweststoves_joom4DB.northwivk2_ce_details' doesn't exist

So now though, new contacts i add do not show up in my list. Is there a limit?

I set up a dev location and added a totally fresh install of both and i see that there isnt a table called Table called "ce_details"

can you help?

Contact Enhanced for Joomla 4 no longer has a #__ce_details database table. It was replaced with #__ce_contacts.

I have just searched the source code of the Contact Enhanced Component and there's no instance of "ce_details" except in the update script.

There's no contact limit. I have tested with over 30.000 and it worked without problems.

Apparently, not all files were replaced... Did you see any error when you updated it? Can you create a backup (for safety reasons) and try to update again? Just install Contact Enhanced for Joomla 4 over the recently updated Contact Enhanced. Let me know if you see any errors.

i did that already. There must have been an error in the upgrade package from J3 > J4.

Can you provide FTP and Super Administrator access, so I can investigate what's causing this issue?

You can send the credentials using the Support Contact Form or just reply to this forum post notification EMAIL after you create a backup of course! ;-)
