Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Hello Douglas,

Thanks for the feedback. I have downloaded the latest 1.5.7 and captcha 1.5.11.

Now when i click on the installed component. I get this " 404 - An error has occurred.
Component Not Found"

I was trying to uninstall it and reinstall but it would not allow me to uninstall. Please what do i do now?

Dear Nana,

Then the component was not installed properly;
Please follow these steps:
1- Please check your file permissions: Select Help --> System Info from the drop-down menu on the Back-end of your Joomla! installation, then select the Directory Permissions tab;
2- Try to install again;

If the problem persists, please provide an Super Administrator account so I can take a look on what it is happening.

Thanks for the feedback. I checked the permissions and they are ok. I uninstalled the plugin with no problem.

I still get the 404 error when i click on the component. Can i delete/uninstall it from the CPanel and install it again?

Dear Nana,

That's odd. Which version did you have installed before?

Do you have access to PHPMyAdmin? If so, please run this code:
DELETE FROM `jos_components` WHERE admin_menu_link LIKE '%com_contact_enhanced%'

For some reason unknown to me it did not complete the uninstall;

On the top left corner there is a SQL icon, click on it, copy the Query above and paste into the SQL Query window;

Actually that's one one of them! There are also the submenu items.The SQL query should delete all Contact Enhanced related menu items;
