Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Auto reply possible?

Greetings,

Is it possible on submit or send email to have an automated email sent back to the sender? I need to have the sender immediately receive standardized information after sending and email. If not, then is it possible to have be redirected to a particular page. I need this to be contact specific and not all contacts be redirected in the same way. Thanks.

Sure! You can have a different automated reply for each Contact.

You just have to link each contact to a menu item and in the menu item you have to set which HTML reply template you want to send to the user.

Thank you, Douglas. Is this only for redirect? I see in the menu item a place to put in the address for custom redirect. Then I also see choice for custom reply. If I choose "yes" on the Custom Reply, will this send in an email the page I designate for redirect?

Dear Xochi,

No, it is not related to the redirection option and custom reply is to be used to integrate Contact Enhanced with other systems, which is a very specific situation.

In the latest version, released last Friday, you can set up a different HTML template for each menu item.

You just have to link each contact to a menu item and in the menu item you have to set which HTML reply template you want to send to the user.

I've created a screencast that explains how to use the new template feature:

Also, please remember that there is no need to uninstall the old version and that backup is your best friend! ;-) I've worked a lot to make the update process very easy and safe, but accidents do happen, therefore I always advise to make a backup first;
