Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

How do I activate the captcha in the contact form. Is this a seperate product?

Dear Rollmodl,

In Contact Enhanced 1.5.7+ the Captcha Plugin is automatically installed and enabled by default, however if you are running an older version you will have to download and install the captcha plugin, which is free.

I've just installed the latest version today (1.5.7.3) but no capatcha is showing.

I've checked my plugins and the capatcha plugins installed and enabled. The Parameters in the component are set to 'always' on the question "show security question".

So I can't work out why it's not showing.

Any ideas?

Dear Alistair,

If this is an upgrade, please save all the Parameters:
Contact Enhanced -> Configuration : click on the parameters button;
Menu manager -> Select your Contact Enhanced Menu item and save;
Plugin manager-> Select the captcha plugin and save it;

It's suddenly working! Can't think why - I hadn't changed anything that I am aware of, but I guess I must have.
