Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Hi,

I am trying to list my categories but it wont work.

All I did was to create a new menu item, "List All Contact Categories" and two categories containing some contacts. What am I missing here?

Btw, I am completely new to CE.

When using the contact form at the bottom stands the following information:

CE_USER_INFO
CE_USER_INFO_IP_ADDRESS: **.**.**.**
CE_USER_INFO_BROWSER_LOCATION: Utrecht, UTRECHT, The Netherlands
CE_USER_INFO_BROWSER: Firefox 3.6.15
CE_USER_INFO_OPERATING_SYSTEM: Windows
CE_USER_INFO_SCREEN_RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

Probably something goes wrong in loading. I see this happen at more places actually.

Dear Joffa,

That's odd! I've just tested that feature and it is working.
This menu item type will display only a list of categories and in order to see the contacts you will have to click on the category link.

If it is still not working, can you please provide an URL so I can take a closer look?

Oh, strange. I just found that it will list the categories in com_categories but not the categories I create via com_contactenhanced.

Edit: I did'nt have any categories at all from the begnning. But when I add categories in the joomla native contact component they will show up.

But the ones created with CE are not added.

Seems to be an integration issue with the native component?
Now I have users in CE not showing up because it lists only categories created outside CE.

It looks like I'm using beta 03. Will try an update and see what happens.

But when using a select list the field type is displayed as:

@Joffa,

I'm not sure I understood, because Contact Enhanced is in no way linked to Joomla core contact component and the Categories are created using Joomla com_categories, however using the Components -> Contact Enhanced -> Categories back-end Menu item.

If you still cannot create and view CE categories, can you please provide an administrator account so I can take a look?

@Matthieu,

I cannot reproduce this error locally, so I believe it has already been fixed in the Beta 4. Did you get a change to upgrade?
