No Save or Cancel main icons showing

Hi, can anyone help please?

I just installed the contact form component. It installed fine. But in the Component manager, no Save icon or Cancel icon shows up at the top right of the page, where they normally are.

This means I cannot save any changes.

Any idea why this is happening?

Sometimes for an unknown reason Joomla 1.0 does not install the toolbars.
You just have to unpack the zip file and upload the toolbar files (toolbar.contato.php and toolbar.contato.html.php) to [Joomla]/administrator/components/com_contato/

Next problem!

There are no docs for this component, correct? Shame... If you want to start a wiki or build some docs somehow, I would be glad to help. I have assisted in this way with several other providers, I can give you their details if you email me. Always glad to help. Obviously, I know nothing of the component, but I know plenty about setting up online docs.

Anyway - I can't see any way to add custom fields, so I'm assuming that Joomla hasn't installed all the files. Here screenshots of the directories that are maybe involved. Can you tell me if more files need to be installed manually - and which ones? Thanks.

I figured out the problem (user error of course...).

The plugin doesn't alter the standard Contact Form, it creates an entirely new contact form. That means you need to create a new link to it, and the link to the old contact form should be deleted. I'd assumed that the Contact Form is being enhanced - but that is incorrect, it's an entirely new form.
