Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

Text outside of form not showing

I'm hoping someone can help me trouble shoot. I have installed and styled my contact form and included it in an article. The form works just fine, but the html text above/outside of it does not show. Is there something related to the form that may be interfering? Below is the html of my contact article. Thanks!

I'm not in my office right now, so I dont have access to FireBug <getfirebug.com>, but if you use it you might be able to figure it out.

I've never used Firebug, but I keep hearing about it. I'll have to add it my long list of tools to investigate and learn.

Dear Melissa,

That menu item seems to be pointing to a Contact Enhanced Component menu item.
If you wish to display Contact enhanced embedded into an article, you have to create a Menu item and point to that article.

Melissa,

I'm just curious.... why would you place a tag {loadcontact 1} into a article, and above wrap html around it..... I mean CE already allows for this, when you setup your form, you can place all the wording above and below with html without putting a tag into an article.

I hope this makes sense.....

Brian, I'm not really sure what you're referring to. I (think) I followed the instructions on the tutorial on this site. I'm new to this and to Joomla in general, so I'm sure there are many best practices that I'm not aware of. If you could explain in more detail, I would appreciate it.

Hi!

I am not a specialist but I think I can help you.

Douglas meant that the menu item that you have made to open the page (the page called www.paulaclairsmith.com/contact ) is linked to a CE contact form - not to normal joomla article.

I order to use the loadarticle command you have to:

1. make a group
2. make a contact
3. make an article (and show it to surfers by joomla menu item)
4. Inside the article "call" the contact with loadarticle (this you already did correct in your first post).
