Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

× Contact Enhanced is a contact component manager created to replace Joomla! core contacts component and add lots of advantages and new features (see Features ) and it offers many plugins and modules for several different purposes,

IN IE9 (Why is it always IE that is the problem) the go and reset buttons do not hide. Is there a fix for this?

Dear Troyboy,

I've tested on my site, with both versions (1.5 and 1.6) under IE9 and they are working correctly. This is most likely a template incompatibility.
Can you test with another template, just to see if it is working correctly?

After you test it, please provide a direct link to the form so I can take a closer look at it.

Best regards,

I tested on another site template ( www.danvillemassagecentre.com/contact-us ) and it is not having that issue. I built the templates in the same version of Artisteer. Not sure why it is doing this.

Dear Troy,

I've never used Artisteer, so I don't know what could be. Please contact Artisteer support, I believe they will be better able to help you.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

All the best,

Funny, they tell me it is a component issue. They say if it is the Artisteer issue all of my sites would be having the issue. I guess I will just play with it and see what I can come up with.

Thanks

Dear Troy,

The problem is that buttons should be hidden with all the content of the "Route options", so I guess they add a z-index or something to the buttons, so they are not hidden. In other words, this is not a component problem, specially because it works with other templates like JA Purity (installed in all Joomla 1.5 by default).

Please provide a link to the site so I can take a closer look.

Hi Douglas,

The link is as follows:

174.120.126.35/~wisteria/index.php/contact-uslocation

Remember, the problem only happens in the infamous IE (all versions I have tested).

Thanks for your help.

Dear Troy,

This Artisteer template changes the buttons in order to add it's styling, actually it adds 3 <span> tags in order to add CSS styling so you can have round borders in your buttons.
It will work on most extensions because most of them do not have buttons inside the slide in MooTools effect.

For example. the Go! button should be
<button onclick="ceMap.getDirections();document.mapcpanelSlider.toggle();" id="ce-map-submit" class="button" type="button">Go!</button>
However in your template it also has a few <span> tags:
<span class="art-button-wrapper"><span class="art-button-l"> </span><span class="art-button-r"> </span><button onclick="ceMap.getDirections();document.mapcpanelSlider.toggle();" id="ce-map-submit" class="button art-button" type="button">Go!</button></span>

I think that the Artisteer support did not understand that the problem only happens when the buttons are inside the slide in effect.

I usually do not work on design, so you have two options:
1. Contact Artisteer again and try to explain the problem;
2. Disable the Routing Feature in the Maps.

I'm sorry about this, but there is not much I can do about it.
