Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

[solved] One Field right-aligns in 2 columns

12 years 10 months ago - 12 years 10 months ago #7083 by waitz
Hi Douglas. I have an issue I can't figure out.

The first 10 fields in my contact form is set with 2 columns (maxlength="100" size="40"). But the 5th field puts itself in the right column. I have tried to look with Firebug, but I can't see why it happens.

Do you have any idea? Of course, I see that I am using v. 1.5.8.6, so maybe it is just a version issue?

All the best, Rajan

Dear Rajan,

That's not a version issue, even though I always recommend to run the latest version.

You have configured the Email field to perform a the email domain ajax validation. When it does that you another div right below the field, so the field container is a little bit higher. You have 2 options:

1- Disable the Domain Ajax Validation in the Email Custom Field Parameters;
2- Add a the height:90px to the next field's container <div> (Phone Number):
#ce-cf-container-12{height:90px};

I would also change the size="40" to style="95%", this will make it render better in all browsers;

All the best,
