Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Contact Enhanced Form Replaced With 404 Page?

I set up a contact form on our site with Contact Enhanced and everything was working great. I tested it. No problems. And I left it alone.

We were just notified by someone that our Contact Us page (the Con Enhanced component) was going to an Error 404 page!!

I logged into the Admin and saw that the link type was back to "URL" and not the Contact Enhanced link type. I changed it back and everything is working fine again.

BUT ... I'm the only administrator with access to the back-end ... and I have not touched the contact form since setting it up. So, I have no idea how the link changed to a "URL" type on its own.

This is too weird.
Has anyone heard of this happening? Is this a Joomla thing?

It is n fact weird! I've never seen anything like it!
Didn't you restore your database or any backup?

The only thing that I can think of is that I have two separate menu links going to the same contact page.

For example, in the Top Menu I have a Contact Us link, and in the Main Menu (left sidebar) I have another link going to the same page.

Would that be a problem? Because I tested everything before launching the site.

Otherwise, no, I haven't done anything else, such as updating or backing up Joomla.
