Support Forum

Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Also, most questions are already answered in our FAQ and in iFAQ and Contact Enhanced documentation pages.

I am using the ajax contact module and think it is great. But i have found that it only works with some email addresses in the from box?

Do i need to configure the mailing facility in joomla to send mail as i have just left it set at its default?

Any ideas anyone

thanks

Nick

Dear Nick,

Some email servers only send unauthenticated emails when the sender (from) is an email from a domain registered in the same server.

My suggestion is to authenticate your emails using SMTP.

Go to Global Configuration and under the server tab change the mailer to SMTP and change the username, password, mail server, .... Please ask your hosting provider for that information.

Please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any further questions.

Sincere regards,

Dear Nick,

I didn't understand your question.
SMTP server is usually already set up in all web servers, you just need to set up an account and configure the mailer in Joomla Global Configuration.

You need the information below in order to configure the mailer to SMTP. If you don't know them, please contact your web hosting provider:
Mailer: SMTP Server
SMTP Authentication:
SMTP Security:
SMTP Port:
SMTP Username:
SMTP Password:
SMTP Host:
