Every time that you post a problem, PLEASE add the Joomla and the extension's versions and revisions (for example: Joomla 3.3.6, Contact Enhanced 3.3.5), PHP version and Server's Operating System. If you only manage only one site it is easier if you edit your profile and just add that information to your signature. Don't forget to add a detailed description of the problem. If possible, write down all steps to simulate the problem.

Before submitting a new post, PLEASE make sure you are running the latest version, test in different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome,..) and clear Joomla and browser's cache after every change you make.

Dear Yuri,

I was inspecting your site's HTML output and I found out the problem. I noticed that something is blocking MooTools from loading, which is probably your template changing the default Joomla behavior.

Can you please contact your template developer?

tried to contact templates support, but they say they don't guarantee support of 3rd party plugins.. such assholes! hate big commercial companies support :/
do u have any idea what might be blocking the thing??
I know its not your problem.. but any help will be really appreciated..
you done a really great job with that plugin mate!

Dear Yuri,

Well, I would insist with them because their template is blocking MooTools, in another words, it is changing Joomla's behavior, not any third party behavior.
Contact Enhanced uses Joomla to include the MooTools library, but it is a Joomla core feature. If the default Javascript library in Joomla was jQuery I'd be glad to use jQuery in all my extensions, however it is not and in my opinion Joomla developers should use the resources provided by Joomla.

If this is really a template related issue, which I believe it is you have to find out in the source code where is it removing the MooTools framework. however this could also be done by a plugin.

hey mate sorry to bother ya again..

the Template Developers fixed the template index.php file
and on my local server the form seems to work ok.. no more "Java disable message"

but on e-tct.co.il , its just stuck on the rotating wheel now :(
when it was giving "Java disabled" message it was till sending mails
but now it just hanging when i press send :(
what might be the prob now?

sorry for the trouble I'm just really eager to make the site working properly for my client already..

I crated a fresh new module, removed the old one
and now it seems to be working fine!

Same issuehere: Ugly Javascript disabled message using ajax contact module..
Although messages are sent correctly
My template was built with Artisteer and uses Jquery.
What to do here?

That might be the reason, jQuery incompatibility.
Do you have the latest Artisteer version?

Can you please provide a direct link to the page where the form is published, so I can take a closer look?

This template was designed with Artisteer2 (Artisteer3 is the latest)

Dear Gérard,

There are two javascript errors on your page, but none of them is related to Ajax Contact.

The first is cause by the French translation + javascript when OpenID is enabled. You can open the [Path to Joomla]/language/fr-FR/com_login.ini, find this string below and change it in a way that it does not have the single quote or disable the OpenID feature.
Qu'est-ce qu'OpenID ?

The other error might be cause by the first one, so I'm not going to comment on it right now.

I finally disabled OpenID and ...
- no more Javascript error message!
- refreshing captcha string works now (did not refresh before!),

Forms are sent/received OK.

Everything seems to work correctly.
